Education affairs Office of the Chinese Embassy is the diplomatic office of the representation of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China.

Its main functions are to:

Enhance and encourage the Sino-American bilateral educational cooperation and exchange, and facilitate the governmental education affairs and support non-governmental programs.

Protect the rights and interests of the Chinese students and scholars in the USA, and provide services for them.

Promote Chinese language teaching and Chinese studies in the USA.

Maintain regular contacts with the federal Department of Education, Department of State,and state and local education offices, universities and colleges, and other related educational institutions in the USA.
